Our allotments have a very low annual subscription of £5. We are keen to keep this as low as possible to make sure that nobody is excluded from having a plot to grow vegetables.
However, this does mean that we all have a responsibility to come along to the monthly allotment workdays for an hour or two to help out.
We don’t have any paid workers, so please come along on the third Sunday of each month and help out – it’s fun!
Allotment Workdays 2019
Sunday 18th August

Thanks to Betsy, Deirdre, Jo, Liz, Peter, Thuy, and Vee who came along to our community day on Sunday. Here they are picking raspberries – gooseberries will be ready soon!
Thanks to everyone (Aideen and family, Anna, Peter and puppy Poppy, Bruna, Deirdre, Thury Le and family, Liz and family, Jo, Martin, Tanya) who came out to help work on the the allotment today – St Patrick’s Day.
A huge thank you to the fantastic GoodGym crew who came down to help work on the community allotments on Manciple Street.
They cleared out the old fruit trees and cages, weeded the soil bags and swept the paths.
Many hands make light work – thank you!
